Shawn leads Suite 200 Solutions' Transportation Risk & Strategy practice, helping organizations address complex challenges at the intersection of transportation, safety, risk and strategy.

He works with transportation companies and the insurance, technology and service providers that support them to improve safety and risk performance, evaluate and implement solutions, develop markets and turn strategic priorities into effective execution.

Shawn brings extensive experience at the intersection of transportation, safety, risk management, insurance and organizational strategy. His work has included developing and implementing safety programs, launching insurance initiatives, responding to regulatory change, evaluating and deploying technology, developing industry partnerships, and helping organizations turn strategic priorities into operating programs.

Prior to joining Suite 200 Solutions, Shawn served as Executive Director of the Independent Carrier Safety Association (ICSA), where he helped build the organization and the internal infrastructure needed to support rapid growth to nearly 8,000 motor-carrier members across 48 states. He led a team of safety professionals responsible for improving carrier safety performance, including responding to unsafe driving behaviors, developing approaches to help carrier owners and managers coach poorly performing drivers, and establishing standards for continued participation in the program. His work also included oversight of a large-scale in-cab safety technology program involving more than 20,000 commercial vehicles.

Earlier in his career, Shawn worked closely with executive leadership in safety and risk management at Knight-Swift Transportation. His work focused largely on strategic and special projects, including launching an insurance program in partnership with a captive insurer and helping the organization adapt operations in response to changing regulatory requirements. He also gained experience in the company's logistics business, including carrier relations and business performance.

Shawn's consulting work focuses on transportation safety and risk strategy, insurance and alternative-risk initiatives, technology evaluation and adoption, market development, strategic partnerships, and executive advisory engagements.

Shawn earned a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration and is based in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
