The Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) has commissioned Suite 200 Solutions to conduct the third edition of the CLM Defense Counsel Study. Data gathering will commence in November, with findings released at the CLM Annual Conference in San Diego in March of 2027.
The Study updates and builds on the CLM’s 2020 and 2024 Defense Counsel Studies, and ties directly to the groundbreaking work being done in the CLM’s Litigation Management Task Force. Its central purpose is to improve communication and working relationships between defense law firms and the insurance litigation executives who retain them, and to give both sides current data on where the relationship stands.
The Study will examine questions of interest to the insurance defense litigation community, including:
• What defines value in today’s litigation management environment?
• How do attorneys view the way their performance is assessed and rewarded?
• How can firms and attorneys create competitive distinction?
• What is the state of attorneys’ relationships with litigation executives today?
• What do attorneys see as their greatest challenges in the current environment?
Participation is anonymous, and all data and information provided by participants is strictly confidential.
