Ross Powell
Former VP Casualty Claims, Liberty Mutual; Head of Claims, Liberty Ireland
Ross brings more than 34 years of experience in senior claim executive roles, most recently as Vice President Casualty Claims for Liberty Mutual.
Prior to retiring from Liberty Mutual, Ross also served as Head of Claims for Liberty Ireland, VP of No-Fault and SIU Claims, VP of Property Claims for Safeco Insurance and multiple Regional Claims VP roles.
Ross focuses his practice on improving property casualty claims operations, with a specialization in transforming underperforming claims departments. He advises on quality improvement, reserving, strategic planning, and the development of key claims performance indicators.
Ross has served as a board member of the National Insurance Crime Bureau and Arbitration Forums, Inc. He also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Collin County CASA.
Ross is a graduate of Pomona College. He earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1985 and has both his Associate in Claims and Associate in Research and Planning designations.
